Khan Yunis Awqaf and Quranic Institutions Sign "Covenant of Promise" to Enhance Partnership and Serve the Quran
The Khan Yunis Awqaf Directorate, in cooperation with Quranic institutions, concluded the "First Quranic Forum" by signing a "Covenant of Promise" aimed at doubling efforts to serve the Holy Quran through memorization, learning, and education, and enhancing partnership and integration among institutions operating in the governorate, with wide participation from heads and representatives of associations.
The Khan Yunis Awqaf Directorate, in cooperation with Quranic institutions operating in the governorate, concluded the "First Quranic Forum" by signing a "Covenant of Promise," aimed at doubling efforts to serve the Book of God Almighty through memorization, learning, and education, and enhancing partnership and integration among Quranic institutions. The forum saw wide participation from heads and representatives of Quranic associations and institutions, discussing ways to unify efforts to care for memorizers and students, and to elevate their scientific and educational level, amid the difficult circumstances the Gaza Strip is experiencing. The Director of Awqaf for Khan Yunis Governorate, Rani al-Adlouni, affirmed that holding the forum aims to gather energies and achieve institutional integration. For his part, Abdul Raouf Abdul Ghafour, speaking on behalf of the Quranic departments and institutions, emphasized the necessity of providing the service of the Holy Quran in the best possible manner. The forum recommended adopting a unified Quranic priorities document and employing modern programs and applications to develop teaching methods. The "Covenant of Promise" included strategic recommendations, most notably incorporating psychological and social support programs into memorization circles and expanding the establishment of Quranic centers within displacement camps. The forum was attended by the Iqra Charitable Association, the Hira Association, the House of the Holy Quran and Sunnah, the House of Mastery for Teaching the Quran, the League of the People of the Quran and Sunnah, Tahadi al-Khair, the Generation of the Quran Foundation, the Muslim Girls Association, and the Minarets Coalition.
