On Saturday, October 17, a group of Jewish settler hooligans attacked diplomats from France, Belgium, and Poland who came to an olive grove near the Palestinian village of Taybeh in Samaria to support local farmers during the harvest. Taybeh is considered the last Christian village in Judea and Samaria. Video shows seven masked attackers, armed with sticks and stones, approaching the diplomats' car, demanding identification, and chasing them on an ATV. The mayor of the French city of Aulnoy-Aymeries, Bernard Baudot, is seen sitting on the ground leaning against a car, and a window of the Belgian consulate car was smashed. The mayor of Taybeh confirmed the attack. Activists Amit Orpali and Roni Federman from the organization "Torat Tzedek" reported that they informed the army about the attack, but the military did not arrive. The attackers also threatened Palestinian olive pickers, claiming they had stolen the harvest.
