Bangkok police arrested last Friday a 54-year-old Israeli man, Tomer Kahiri, known in Thailand as "Tom Yam Gong," on suspicion of drugging women with cakes containing drugs, which he gave to women he met on dating apps, and then having sex with them and secretly recording them. During a raid on his apartment in the Huai Khwang district, police seized 15 grams of methamphetamine (crystal meth), drug packaging equipment, a tray of cakes suspected of containing drugs, and a mobile phone containing many intimate videos. It also emerged that the suspect had been in Thailand without a valid visa for 2,095 days. A 44-year-old Thai woman was arrested along with him. The suspect denied drug possession and threatened the officers. He was charged with possession of a dangerous drug, illegal stay, and threats, but not with drugging or intimate filming at this stage.
