Israel's ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Yossi Shelley, said in an interview with Kan News that within four to six months, another country will join the Abraham Accords. Shelley estimated that Kuwait might be the next country, noting that the Kuwaitis are beginning to understand that something has happened. He added that Israel is working on closer cooperation with the UAE. Shelley also addressed reports of a warning received by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed before the October 7 massacre, and strongly denied the claims. He said he was present during the relevant days and does not recall any alert or discussion on the matter. Shelley added that any statement by the Emiratis on this issue would have been disruptive, and that the most important thing is that relations are on the rise, as he sees in visits, some of which are reported and some not due to regional sensitivity.
