Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has announced a series of significant steps aimed at strengthening its position in the space race. As part of the move, Boaz Sudri was appointed Senior Vice President and Head of the Missile and Space Systems Division. Sudri brings over 30 years of experience leading strategic programs in missiles, air defense, and space. Concurrently, the company's board approved the merger of its subsidiary Elta into IAI. The merger, approved by the government in July, will make Elta a namesake division within IAI and eliminate its status as a separate legal entity, aiming to reduce bureaucracy. IAI Chairman Boaz Levy and CEO Guy Bar Lev emphasized in their statements that the move is intended to consolidate capabilities, simplify processes, and strengthen IAI's position as a leading defense and technology company in Israel and globally.
