A senior official from one of the mediator countries claims that Iran is in principle willing to consider a compromise, and the sides were close to such an option during talks with US Vice President JD Vance. However, Tehran ties possible concessions to obtaining clear security guarantees — that Israel will not launch a retaliatory strike against Iran after an agreement is reached. Earlier, Iranian army representative Mohammad Akraminia stated that the US could strike again, and Tehran is ready for confrontation. The head of the National Iranian Oil Company, Hamid Bord, said Iran has information about possible plans to attack oil infrastructure. On Sunday, September 27, Iranian authorities declared their readiness to resolve the conflict exclusively through diplomatic means, pointing to a contradiction between Trump's public statements and signals through diplomatic channels.
