Interview on "Hayom" with Avi Gil: Victims' Families Demand Publication of Protocols
Survivors of captivity, bereaved families, and families of hostages sent a letter to Prime Minister Netanyahu demanding the full publication of protocols, original recordings, and logs from discussions held before and on the morning of October 7. The background: suspicion of alteration in the protocol of a conversation between Netanyahu and his military secretary Avi Gil, and the investigation of Chief of Staff Tzachi Braverman on suspicion of forgery.
Survivors of captivity, bereaved families, and families of hostages sent a letter on Tuesday to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, demanding he publish the full protocols, original recordings, and logs from discussions and conversations that took place before and on the morning of October 7. The appeal comes against the backdrop of publications and investigations concerning an alleged alteration in the protocol of a conversation held on the morning of October 7 between Netanyahu and his then-military secretary, Maj. Gen. (res.) Avi Gil. The letter states: "The recent investigations raise serious suspicions of forgery of official documents and obstruction of evidence." The families referred to Tzachi Braverman, former chief of staff in the Prime Minister's Office, who is being investigated on suspicion of forging an official protocol of a conversation from the morning of the massacre. The investigation dealt with the suspicion that the time of the conversation was changed from 06:40 to 06:29. The signatories demand an independent examination of the original documentation and its transfer to the military censor and for public exposure. The letter was signed by dozens of survivors of captivity and family members, including Yocheved Lifshitz, Ditza Heiman, Einav Zangauker, Hadas Calderon, Danny Elgarat, and others.
