In Lebanon, warnings: "Hezbollah has armed itself with drones and explosives, and is preparing for combat"

Lebanese security sources told Reuters that Hezbollah has armed itself with drones and explosives over the past three months, and is preparing for a possible renewal of fighting with Israel, after receiving tens of millions of dollars from Iran. The organization is on alert for escalation between the US and Iran, but has not yet completed its preparations.

Lebanese security sources familiar with Hezbollah's activities told Reuters that the terrorist organization has spent the last three months preparing for a possible renewal of fighting with Israel, after receiving substantial funds from Iran. According to them, despite the blows it has suffered, Hezbollah remains committed to fighting and has used the lull since June to rearm, focusing on acquiring explosives and producing drones. Sources said the organization received tens of millions of dollars from Iran to bolster its military capabilities, in addition to about $200 million intended to aid displaced families. Hezbollah is on alert for a possible escalation between the US and Iran, but has not yet completed its preparations and is cautious about providing Israel with a justification for a large-scale attack. Hezbollah's media office stated that "the Israeli occupation of Lebanese lands makes any resistance to it a legitimate right" and rejected the claim that the organization's command and control systems had collapsed. The IDF declined to comment. A US State Department spokesperson said Washington would continue to strangle Hezbollah's funding channels through sanctions.
