In Blue Uniforms in Area C: The Plan to Prevent Nationalist Crime
Commander of the Judea and Samaria District Police, Commissioner Moshe Pinchi, has formulated a plan to establish "Brigade C" – a force of 700–800 police officers in blue uniforms that will operate in Area C under Central Command, with full investigative and policing authorities, aiming to prevent nationalist crime and violence in farms and open areas.
Commander of the Judea and Samaria District Police, Commissioner Moshe Pinchi, has formulated a plan to establish "Brigade C" – a combined force of approximately 700–800 police officers and fighters in blue uniforms, which will operate in Area C under Central Command but with full civilian investigative and policing authorities. The plan is intended to address the increase in friction incidents, violence, and nationalist crime, focusing on continuous presence in open areas and farms, rather than remote response after escalation. The force will integrate combat, policing, investigative, and intelligence capabilities in a joint command center. The strategic concept originated with Major General Yoram Halevy, but Pinchi translated it into practical steps. The funding issue is controversial: the police demand a military budget, while the army argues it is a national matter. The plan has not yet been approved by the Commissioner or the Minister.
