A tourist from a travel group from Thailand discovered a strange man hiding under her bed at a five-star luxury hotel in Brno, Czech Republic. The woman noticed fingers protruding from under the mattress, screamed, and fled to the hallway. The intruder emerged from his hiding place and fled the hotel without being apprehended. Group members approached the reception desk, but the staff refused to change the room and claimed they could not help. The hotel delayed calling the police by 30 to 40 minutes, and only after heated arguments agreed to check the security cameras. The officers who arrived suggested filing a complaint the next day, but the group was scheduled to leave the city. The group leader, Koran-ak Thumarukit, sharply criticized the lack of a security guard at the entrance during nighttime hours, which allowed the intruder to enter the premises. He called on travel companies to boycott the hotel.
