Hunter Biden, son of former US President Joe Biden, raised a conspiracy theory in an interview with British network LBC, claiming that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu knew about the October 7 attack in advance and deliberately allowed it to happen in order to get a green light for a plan that would not have otherwise received support. The remarks were made in response to a question from interviewer Andrew Marr about Biden's stance on Israel following the war in Gaza. Biden referred to an "explosive report" that he said was published a few days earlier, apparently referring to a Haaretz report on the matter. He did not clarify who he meant when he said "they," did not present evidence for his claims, and did not elaborate on what that plan was. In the interview, Biden also said that what is happening in Gaza "resembles genocide" and claimed that Netanyahu has made Jews around the world less safe than since the Holocaust. This is not the first time Biden has attacked Netanyahu and raised conspiracy theories about Israel. In a previous interview with Tucker Carlson, he called Netanyahu "evil incarnate" and admitted he had no forensic evidence.
