In an Instagram story, Peretz said: "A man whose biggest dream is another 7.10 in the State of Israel receives, together with Ahmed Tibi, the patron of terrorists, 18 seats." The remarks came after Abbas called to turn the achievement into a "new reality". The polls showed an increase from 14 seats in the last survey to 17 seats in the sample, with Hadash winning 10 seats and Ra'am 7. The strengthening was recorded against the backdrop of high voter turnout in the Arab sector. Earlier, Abbas expressed hope that the election results would lead to a change of government.
