The photos show her at Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip, with severe injuries. In the post, she described: "I am in a disgusting room full of blood, a body on the floor next to me, a 'doctor' approaches and introduces himself as Dr. Hamas, with ten more monsters with Kalashnikovs pointed at my head." She recounted an open gunshot wound in her leg that bled for four months and stitches that remained in her hand for 365 days. She thanked God, her family, the security forces, the people of Israel, and fellow hostage survivor Romi Gonen. At the end of August, Damari married her partner, food blogger Daniel Amit.
