Health Ministry warns against use of injectable materials - after thousands were stolen and marketed without supervision
The Health Ministry is warning against the use of injectable materials containing hyaluronic acid, after thousands of packages were stolen from company warehouses about a month ago. There is concern that the products are being illegally marketed to private clinics and doctors, and the ministry emphasizes a significant health risk due to lack of supervision over storage and transport conditions.
The Health Ministry issued a public warning Thursday against purchasing and using injectable materials containing hyaluronic acid, following the theft of thousands of packages from the warehouses of companies Alphamedix and Omegamedix Ltd. about a month ago. There is concern that the stolen products are being illegally marketed in Israel to clinics, aesthetic treatment institutes, and private doctors. The Health Ministry emphasized that using these materials, which require controlled storage and transport conditions, could pose a significant health risk. Among the stolen products are: Radiesse, Stylage Special Lips Lido, Stylage XL Lido, Stylage L, Stylage M Lido, Stylage L Lido, and Stylage XXL Mepi. The ministry called on professionals to ensure they purchase products only from authorized suppliers, and on patients to verify that treatments are performed using products from regulated and supervised sources. Suspicions can be reported to the Kol Habriut hotline at *5400.
