This step involves a specialized medical team including Dr. Ihab El-Sharkawy, assistant professor of cardiothoracic surgery at Kasr Al-Ainy, and Dr. Ihab El-Daly, consultant anesthesiologist, in cooperation with the local medical team led by Dr. Saher Abu Ghali. The ministry stated that this step aims to enhance the restoration of specialized medical services in the sector, which it described as having witnessed "medical genocide" in recent years. About 20 heart surgeries are expected to be performed during the team's visit, enhancing patients' access to specialized surgical interventions and supporting the efforts of local medical teams.
