Hamas-Lebanon's mass action organized a rally in the Lebanese city of Sidon on Friday evening to commemorate the third anniversary of the 'Al-Aqsa Flood' operation, which began on October 7, 2023. The rally was attended by representatives of Palestinian factions, Islamic forces, Lebanese parties, social and civil institutions, religious figures, and a crowd of locals. Ayman Shana'a, the deputy political official of Hamas in Lebanon, said the operation expressed the historical demands of the Palestinian people for liberation and return, and emphasized that it did not result from temporary circumstances but was an extension of the Palestinian people's movement and their inalienable rights. He added that despite the pain, sacrifices, and Israeli brutality, the operation brought the Palestinian issue back to global attention and dealt severe blows to the Zionist entity. Meanwhile, Sheikh Abu Bakr, head of the Palestinian Scholars Association in Lebanon, praised the operation, stating that the world today stands with the Palestinian cause and the Zionist entity has become a pariah state that has fallen morally, politically, and legally. He called for genuine Palestinian national unity based on supporting the resistance option.
