A happy ending to the story of Rina Schwartz, a 94-year-old Holocaust survivor from Afula, whose mobility scooter was stolen over the weekend from the storage room of her apartment building. Following investigative efforts by Afula police officers, the scooter was located at the southern exit of the city, about three kilometers from her home. Last night (Monday), it was returned to Schwartz's home, bearing damage caused by the thieves. The scooter was her primary means of transportation, allowing her to maintain her independence. Her son, Moshe Schwartz, said the thieves started the vehicle without a key and damaged the electrical systems, tires, and lights, but emphasized that the important thing is that the vehicle was returned to his mother. He thanked everyone who mobilized and helped restore his mother's freedom and dignity.
