Three grandchildren flew from the US to Israel to accompany their 99-year-old grandmother, Ruth Karubi from Haifa, to the polling station. Ruth has not missed a single election since 1949. The grandchildren said that the right to vote is important to them and they came to continue the family tradition and contribute to change in the country. One of them will return to the US the next day.

Three brothers living in the United States came to Israel specifically for election day to accompany their 99-year-old grandmother, Ruth Karubi from Haifa, to the polls. Ruth, born in 1927, has not missed a single election since the first elections in 1949. The grandchildren, Roee (38), Omer (35), and Yoni (27), arrived yesterday from Los Angeles and St. Louis. Roee said they flew a great distance for a short time to vote alongside their grandmother, believing that the time has come to bring about positive change in the country. One of the brothers is expected to return to the US the next day.
