Government Media Office: 5,147 violations by the occupation since the ceasefire and 1,421 martyrs

The Government Media Office in Gaza confirmed that the Israeli occupation committed 5,147 violations of the ceasefire agreement over the course of a year, resulting in the martyrdom of 1,421 Palestinians and the injury of 4,983 others. It warned of an imminent humanitarian catastrophe with winter approaching, noting that more than 1.5 million displaced people are living in dilapidated tents.

The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip confirmed that the Israeli occupation has completely reneged on its obligations under the ceasefire agreement, pointing out that it committed 5,147 violations of the agreement over the course of a year, resulting in the martyrdom of 1,421 Palestinians and the injury of 4,983 others, in addition to the arrest of 198 citizens. The office said in a statement issued on Tuesday that the humanitarian and relief situation in the Strip has become "dangerous and catastrophic," warning of deadly repercussions threatening hundreds of thousands of displaced people as winter approaches. It explained that only 72,826 trucks entered the Strip during the past year, out of 210,600 trucks of humanitarian and relief aid and reconstruction materials that were supposed to enter according to the agreement, a compliance rate of less than 35%. It added that the occupation imposed severe restrictions on the movement of travelers, as only 13,785 travelers were allowed to depart out of 35,000 who were supposed to travel. The office warned of an imminent humanitarian catastrophe with winter approaching, explaining that more than 1.5 million displaced people are living in tents, totaling about 270,000 tents, including 162,000 dilapidated and unusable tents. It also warned of more than 255 cracked buildings at risk of collapse. The office called on the international community to urgently intervene and pressure for a halt to the shelling and targeting of civilians, and to fully open the crossings.
