The Gaza Municipality warned of the danger of 230 buildings at risk of collapse in the city, recommending their evacuation and securing. The municipality stated that its teams handled 430 reports and complaints from October 2025 to September 24, 2026, and inspected 380 buildings classified as dangerous. Competent authorities issued 442 official evacuation notices, and the Ministry of Public Works referred 150 cases to the municipality. The municipality called for providing caravans for shelter, rescue mechanisms, and construction materials.

The municipality stated that its teams handled 430 reports and complaints during the period from October 2025 to September 24, 2026, and inspected 380 buildings classified as dangerous. It added that competent authorities issued 442 official evacuation notices, while the Ministry of Public Works and Housing referred 150 cases to the municipality, of which 80 buildings were inspected and classified as dangerous and referred for follow-up. The municipality affirmed the continuation of inspection, follow-up, and coordination with competent authorities, along with preparing an updated final report, and continuing the removal of dangerous buildings within funded projects and available capabilities. It called for providing caravans to house residents who must be evacuated, introducing rescue mechanisms and heavy equipment, along with providing necessary construction materials to reinforce damaged columns and ceilings and reduce the risk of building collapse.
