From the South to the North of Samaria: The Election Marathon of Religious Zionism
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich embarked this morning on a tour of yeshivas across the country, together with heads of yeshivas and rabbis, aiming to rally the religious-nationalist public to vote in the elections. The tour began at the home of the late Rabbi Chaim Druckman in Merkaz Shapira.
Finance Minister and chairman of the Religious Zionism party, Bezalel Smotrich, set out this morning (Monday) together with heads of yeshivas and senior rabbis on a tour of Torah institutions across the country, aiming to energize activists and strengthen organization ahead of the elections. The tour began at the home of the late Rabbi Chaim Druckman in Merkaz Shapira, and was intended to replicate a similar initiative led by the rabbi in the 2021 elections. The convoy then continued to the hall of Yeshivat Or Etzion, and later is expected to visit yeshivas in Sderot, Sha'alvim, Ramat Gan, Karnei Shomron, and Elon Moreh. At each stop, meetings are held with students and local activists, including singing and dancing. The initiative comes after an activists' conference held last Thursday at Binyanei Ha'uma in Jerusalem. The party says the tour's goal is to remind the public of the importance of voting and the danger of staying home.
