The 26th Knesset will convene by November 10, 14 days after the elections being held today (Tuesday). MKs will be officially sworn in at the oath of allegiance ceremony, where each MK stands and says "I undertake." An MK who has not sworn allegiance is not entitled to their rights until they do so. Immediately after the swearing-in, the organizing committee will be established, headed by an MK from the party that the president tasked with forming the government, and its members will be faction representatives according to their size. The organizing committee will exercise most of the powers of the Knesset committee until the permanent committees are established, including the Finance Committee, the Constitution Committee, and the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee, which are usually established only after the government is sworn in.
