Former Shin Bet senior official: This is why the Mossad joined the ballot fraud investigation

Former Shin Bet senior official Amit Assa explains in an interview with Channel 14 why the Mossad joined the investigation into suspicions of election bribery and foreign interference: the tracking of the money trail leads to shell organizations and bank accounts overseas, operated by enemy states and terrorist organizations. Assa also warns about the tight schedule set by Judge Solberg.

Former Shin Bet senior official Amit Assa explained in an interview with Channel 14 why the Mossad joined the investigation into suspicions of election bribery and foreign interference in Israel. According to him, the key to unraveling the affair is tracking the money routes, which are suspected to pass through shell organizations and bank accounts abroad and may lead to enemy states and terrorist organizations. Assa also referred to the schedule set by Judge Noam Solberg, chairman of the Central Elections Committee, to receive evidence within seven days before the swearing-in of the Knesset, and warned of the possibility that the decision will reach the Supreme Court. He expressed concern over the politicization of the legal process, noting that the Supreme Court has sometimes touched on political matters.
