Thousands of worshippers ascended this morning (Thursday) to Nablus for the hospitality day of Joseph the Righteous and held a festive morning prayer with the Four Species at Joseph's Tomb, for the first time in decades. The entry took place in daylight in two rounds, as part of the visits organized by the Samaria Regional Council with the assistance of volunteers from the Joseph's Tomb and Holy Sites Administration, and accompanied by the IDF and security forces. The extension of entry hours was made possible following a decision by Defense Minister Israel Katz, as part of a long-term effort led by Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan and MK Zvi Sukkot, together with Rabbi Dudu Ben Natan, father of the late soldier Shoval Ben Natan who fell in battle in southern Lebanon. Among the participants in the event were Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan, MKs Zvi Sukkot, Erez Malul, and Uriyal Buso, Central Command Major General Avi Blot, Judea and Samaria Division Commander Brigadier General Kobi Heller, Border Police Commissioner Superintendent Yitzhak Barik, Border Police Judea and Samaria Commander Deputy Superintendent Niso Guvata, and Prisons Service Commissioner Chief Superintendent Kobi Yaakobi. During the prayer, the attendees held a special thanksgiving prayer for the rescue of the passenger plane from Dubai. Dagan called on the Israeli government to approve the return of permanent settlement and hold on the site. MK Zvi Sukkot called on the Prime Minister to give an order for a full return even before the elections.
