The Likud movement has filed a police complaint against reserve colonel Miki Kessari, following an exposé by News 14. The complaint alleges that Kessari repeatedly called for Prime Minister Netanyahu to face a "firing squad" and labeled him a "traitor." Likud is demanding an immediate criminal investigation.
The Likud movement filed a complaint today (Thursday) with the Israel Police against reserve colonel Miki Kessari, former commander of the submarine flotilla and currently chairman of the Navy Officers' Association. The complaint was filed through attorney Ilan Bombach, following statements revealed last night on News 14. According to the complaint, Kessari repeatedly stated that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should face a "firing squad" and called him a "traitor." The complaint also included an AI-generated image depicting Netanyahu alongside Nukhba terrorists. Likud claims this constitutes a call for execution, falling under Section 144d2(a) of the Penal Code. Likud attributes additional severity to Kessari's status as a senior reserve officer and demands an immediate criminal investigation.
