Company crews discovered that the facility's lock had been breached and an unauthorized person entered and intentionally closed one of the disconnectors. The sabotage created an abnormal load on the power grid and caused malfunctions and supply disruptions in Meitar, Lakiya, Sansana, and Kibbutz Keramim. Israel Electric Corporation crews treated the facility and restored the grid to normal operation. The Electric Corporation stated that they view any deliberate damage to electrical facilities with utmost severity, and that this is a dangerous act that could endanger human life and disrupt power supply to residents. Following the incident, a complaint will be filed with the police.
