Flydubai does not fly to Israel: who is filling the void?
Flydubai has not yet received approval to fly to Israel. In response, Etihad Airways is increasing the number of seats on the Tel Aviv-Abu Dhabi route by more than 100 daily seats starting in November, by replacing the afternoon flight with a wide-body aircraft.
Flydubai has not yet received approval to resume its flights to Israel, and due to the growing demand for connecting flights to the East, Etihad Airways is increasing its seat capacity on the Tel Aviv-Abu Dhabi route. Starting November 9, the flight departing Tel Aviv at 14:00 will be operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner wide-body aircraft with 316 seats, instead of an Airbus A321 with 188 seats. This adds 128 seats on a single flight. As a result, Etihad's daily seat supply from Israel will increase by approximately 11.3%, from 1,128 to 1,256 seats per day. The reinforcement is intended to meet demand for connecting flights to destinations in the East via Abu Dhabi, during a period when flight options through Dubai remain limited.
