The reason for the unscheduled halt was the vigilance of a crew member who noticed a serious structural defect in the aircraft. The incident occurred on Saturday morning, when passengers had already taken their seats and the airliner was heading to the runway. During taxiing, one of the flight attendants noticed a crack that had formed on the glass of a passenger cabin window. Understanding the potential danger, the employee immediately relayed the information to the aircraft commander. The pilot decided to immediately abort the departure preparations and return the plane to the maintenance sector. The flight scheduled for 06:10 had to be canceled so that specialists could conduct a detailed assessment of the damage. The airline's management promptly decided to replace the faulty airliner with a reserve aircraft. Passengers were informed that departure was postponed to approximately 08:45. At the time of publication, official representatives of Wizz Air refrained from detailed comments regarding the causes of the crack.
