First publication: 'Big Brother' star suspected of assaulting his partner released from detention

A former 'Big Brother' star, 36, was released from detention against police objections, after being arrested on suspicion of assaulting his ex-partner in Holon and breaking her hand. The investigation revealed mutual complaints of violence, and the woman admitted throwing a glass cup at him. The court rejected the police request to extend his detention.

A 36-year-old reality TV star from 'Big Brother', whose identifying details are under a publication ban, was released from detention on Wednesday against the police's request to extend his arrest. The suspect was arrested on the night between Saturday and Sunday following a violent incident that occurred on Friday at his ex-partner's apartment in Holon, where he arrived after being informed that their mutual son had been injured. During an argument between the two, the woman went out into the street as he chased her, shouting in front of neighbors who called for help. Police officers who arrived at the scene initially spoke with them and left without making an arrest because no injury was identified. However, after a formal complaint was filed on Saturday night and medical documents were presented indicating a fracture in her left hand, he was arrested. Earlier this week, a direct and tense confrontation was held between the two, and during the investigation it emerged that the ex-partner was also questioned under caution on suspicion of assault, and admitted in her interrogation to throwing a glass cup at the reality star's head. While the woman claimed in the confrontation that the fracture was caused by his direct violence, the medical documents recorded that the injury to her hand was caused by a fall. The suspect denied the allegations against him and stated: 'She is lying, she loves likes and Instagram.' The court rejected the police request to extend his detention and ordered his release.
