A father of a child at a daycare in Ra'anana, where three assistants were arrested on suspicion of abusing toddlers, was interviewed today (Monday) on the program 'In the Middle of the Day' on Kan News. The father, Tal, said he watched a video showing his son suffering abuse and described his feelings: 'Your heart breaks, because he is simply your sweet and beloved child who is in a situation without the ability to defend himself.' He claimed that the daycare operated a method to conceal the injuries, and that the staff attributed the bruises to allergies or accidents. According to him, the kindergarten teacher told the mother that if she lacked trust, perhaps her place was not at the daycare. Tal added that his two-year-old son does not speak and cannot explain what he went through, and that evidence exists only from September, so it is unknown what happened before. The fathers protested last night against the slow investigation and the release of the assistants to their homes.
