Father of observer Noa Marciano z"l reveals recording from captivity in Gaza | Listen

The father of observer Cpl. Noa Marciano z"l, Avi Marciano, revealed this evening (Saturday) a chilling recording from her early days in captivity in Gaza, never heard before. In the recording, Noa describes her fear under IDF attacks. Her father demanded the establishment of a state commission of inquiry, claiming she was abandoned.

Three years after she was abducted from the Nahal Oz base and murdered in the Gaza Strip, the father of observer Cpl. Noa Marciano z"l, Avi Marciano, revealed this evening (Saturday) for the first time a chilling recording from her early days in captivity, never heard before. In the recording, Noa is heard describing in her own voice the moments of fear under IDF attacks in the area: "My name is Noa Marciano... I am in Gaza and all of Gaza is being bombed with missiles right now. I have been in Gaza for four days. There are other hostages here and we could die from the missiles. Please stop, the explosions are very close to us." After the audio testimony was played, her father delivered sharp remarks and demanded that the investigation into the failure be exhausted ahead of the upcoming election day: "My daughter, as you heard, was abandoned in captivity," he said, adding: "She was injured by an Air Force bombing, and as a result arrived at the hospital and there she was murdered. She was abandoned when she was an observer, she and her friends reported, they knew what was going to happen. Soon we are going to elections, and in my view the most important thing in the elections is a state commission of inquiry by law." Marciano's body was located and recovered by IDF and Shin Bet forces in November 2023 near Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. While Hamas claimed her death was caused by Air Force bombings, an IDF spokesperson then revealed based on the pathological report that Marciano was only wounded in a non-life-threatening manner during the attacks, and was subsequently murdered by Hamas terrorists within the walls of Shifa Hospital.
