At an international conference on forensic medicine and criminal identification held at the Museum of Tolerance in Jerusalem, Eyal Eshel, the father of observer Roni Eshel, who was murdered on October 7 at the observation post in Nahal Oz, called for the world to see the forensic reports documenting the condition of the victims of the Hamas attack. "As Roni's father, a brave observer who protected the residents of the Gaza envelope and IDF soldiers with her body and soul and was burned alive, I call from this podium to everyone involved in Israel's hasbara and the atrocities of October 7 - take the difficult autopsy reports and pass them to the rest of the world so they understand what happened here and the magnitude of the human atrocity of the Hamas monster of Gaza," Eshel said. The conference, held on October 13-14, includes experts from Israel and abroad who dealt with identifying the victims of October 7. Prof. Chen Kugel described the complexity of the identification work, comparing it to that after the September 11 attacks. Dr. Nurit Bubilil described the difficulty of identifying DNA samples exposed to heat of over 800 degrees Celsius. Leah Goldin, mother of Lt. Hadar Goldin, also spoke at the conference. The conference also addresses the importance of preserving evidence and findings and making them accessible to future generations.
