Far-right figure James Fishback likens abortion to Holocaust, demands US decouple from Israel

Far-right Florida gubernatorial candidate James Fishback, during a speech at the University of Mississippi, compared abortion to the Holocaust and called on US President Donald Trump to cut off aid to Israel. Fishback argued that the US must decouple from Israel to save America, blaming Israel for drawing the US into war with Iran. The event was organized by Turning Point USA.

James Fishback, a far-right former GOP gubernatorial candidate in Florida, delivered a speech at the University of Mississippi on Tuesday evening in which he compared abortion to the Holocaust and demanded the United States sever ties with Israel. Fishback stated that "abortion is a holocaust, and by every single historical metric available, it was worse than the other one," claiming that 61 million children have been killed in the womb since Roe v. Wade. He also called on US President Donald Trump to cut off Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, arguing that the US must decouple from Israel to save America. Fishback blamed Israel for drawing the US into war with Iran, which he said has pushed gas prices and Treasury yields higher. The event was organized by the University of Mississippi chapter of Turning Point USA. Fishback also criticized immigration policies on both sides of the aisle and claimed that the most virulent form of religious hatred is hostility against Christians in the US.
