Yesterday, an explosive device detonated in the yard of an apartment in the Jessy Cohen neighborhood of Holon, moderately wounding a 15-year-old boy. It is believed the target of the explosion was a person known to the police. The day before, a 16-year-old girl was moderately wounded by a grenade thrown at a home in Ma'alot-Tarshiha. On Saturday night in Netanya, a driver rammed a police patrol car after failing to heed orders to stop, moderately wounding an officer. On Friday, Muhammad Samer Yassin was shot dead in Kabul in the Western Galilee, and a woman in her 30s was found in critical condition in Haifa and died in the hospital. On Thursday, a man fired a long gun at a building in Yafia and was shot by police after a chase. On Wednesday, an IDF fragmentation grenade exploded in Kfar Shmaryahu. In response, the police stated that the data indicates a decline in a range of offenses, and that there is no place to infer a national trend from incidents of a few days.
