"Every Jew in the world is a stakeholder": The message arriving from Australia to Jerusalem

Alon Cassuto, CEO of the Zionist Federation in Australia, is cycling in a race in the Galilee in memory of 10-year-old Matilda who was murdered in the Bondi attack. In an interview, he speaks about the wave of antisemitism in Australia, the state inquiry established following the attack, and his message to leaders in Israel: every Jew in the world is a stakeholder in the future of the state.

Alon Cassuto, CEO of the Zionist Federation in Australia, arrived in Israel this week and joined the Winner Epic Israel cycling race in the Galilee, in partnership with KKL-JNF. The race, part of the World Epic Series, is dedicated to the memory of 10-year-old Matilda, who was murdered in the Bondi shooting attack in which 15 people were killed. Cassuto rides seven hours a day with her name on his chest and a bee emblem on his back, alongside an Israeli rider who lost acquaintances. The Bondi attack led to the establishment of a Royal Commission in Australia, which is centralizing recommendations for protecting the Jewish community. Cassuto emphasizes that Israelis and diaspora Jews are exhausted by the war and politics, and calls for a strong, stable, and moderate government that sees the good of the entire people. "Every Jew in the world is a shareholder in the future of the State of Israel," he says.
