Israeli occupation authorities continue to escalate the demolition of homes and bulldozing of agricultural lands in Jerusalem and its surroundings, targeting the Palestinian presence in several towns and communities. On Thursday morning, occupation forces demolished several homes in the Sahil area of Badu town northwest of occupied Jerusalem, and a home in Al-Eizariya town, concurrently with bulldozing agricultural lands near the Beit Iksa military checkpoint. Occupation bulldozers uprooted dozens of olive trees, causing material losses to farmers. These operations come as a continuation of demolitions targeting the homes of three Palestinians in the towns of Shuafat, Silwan, and Beit Hanina. In a related context, Israeli human rights organizations (Bimkom – Planners for Planning Rights, Ir Amim, and Peace Now) revealed that the authorities have begun implementing demolition operations inside the Bir al-Maskoub Bedouin community, located within the area designated for the E1 settlement plans east of occupied Jerusalem, in a step described as moving from planning to execution.
