Eisenkot's No. 2: Give the Palestinian Authority a role in governing Gaza

Yoram Cohen, former Shin Bet chief and No. 2 on Gadi Eisenkot's list, called for allowing the Palestinian Authority a role in governing Gaza. According to him, any entity that does not define Israel as an enemy should be allowed to participate in governance, and the PA is preferable to Qatar and Turkey.

Yoram Cohen, former Shin Bet chief and No. 2 on Gadi Eisenkot's list, called for allowing the Palestinian Authority a role in the future governance of the Gaza Strip. According to him, any entity that does not define Israel as an enemy should be allowed to participate in governance. Cohen made the remarks at a "Shabbat Culture" event of Mishan. He argued that the PA is preferable from a security and political standpoint over alternatives such as Qatar and Turkey, despite its failures in Judea and Samaria and its loss of control in Gaza.
