Eisenkot in the big party campaign, Lapid comes out against: "That will make us lose the elections"
Gadi Eisenkot continues his campaign to make Yashar the largest party, arguing that this is the key to defeating the Netanyahu bloc. Yair Lapid warns that the strategy could cost them the elections, citing his failed experience with similar campaigns in the past. The bloc fears that the two-headed battle will shrink everyone.
Yashar chairman Gadi Eisenkot said this morning (Tuesday) in an interview with 103FM that he believes his party must be the largest in the elections to defeat the Netanyahu bloc. According to him, 'Yashar significantly larger than Likud is the key to victory and a stable government.' Yesterday it was reported by ynet that in closed conversations Eisenkot said the campaign contributes to the bloc and moves Likudniks. In response, Yair Lapid, number 2 in 'Together', warned that the big party campaign could make them lose the elections. Lapid cited his experience: 'Four times we ran on the big party campaign, in all four Netanyahu ended up forming a government.' He called for a bloc strategy: 'If each one focuses on his own audiences, we will win.' In the anti-Netanyahu bloc, Avigdor Lieberman, Naftali Bennett and Yair Golan understand that the two-headed battle could shrink everyone.
