Egypt launches first locally made industrial robot
Egypt launched its first locally developed and manufactured industrial robot, a step toward technology localization. Industry Minister Khaled Hashem attended the launch ceremony. The robot was developed by Raed Bots in cooperation with the Industrial Modernization Center and Cube, for use in packaging. The local component ratio is 80%, with a target to raise it to 90%. Cooperation protocols were signed to support industry and supply robots.

Industry Minister Khaled Hashem attended the launch and delivery ceremony. The robot was developed by Raed Bots in cooperation with the Industrial Modernization Center and Cube, for use in an industrial application in packaging machinery. The company stated that the local component ratio is currently about 80%, with a target to raise it to 90% after local manufacturing of the motor. The company demonstrated the robot's operation and explained its components and mechanism. The minister emphasized the importance of monitoring its performance in the factory. The event saw the signing of three cooperation protocols: technical support for industrial facilities, supply of robots for the packaging sector, and cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering at Mansoura University to provide educational robots. The minister affirmed that localizing machinery manufacturing is a key axis in Egypt's industrial strategy.
