Earthquake: Suspicion of bribery in Lahav 433 - State employee and contractors arrested

The Lahav 433 unit arrested a state employee and contractors on suspicion of bribery. The employee is suspected of receiving payments in exchange for avoiding supervision of construction sites where workers from Turkey were employed without permits. The contractors are also suspected of smuggling workers through Jordan.

The Lahav 433 unit arrested a state employee and contractors on suspicion of bribery. According to the suspicion, the state employee received bribe money from contractors in exchange for avoiding supervision of construction sites where foreign workers from Turkey were employed without permits. Police suspect that the contractors also smuggled workers through the border with Jordan and collected money from them for their entry into Israel. The covert investigation was conducted by the Serious and International Crimes Unit of the Lahav 433. Three suspects were arrested and two others were detained for questioning. The suspects will be brought to the Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court for an extension of their detention.
