Drug shipment worth NIS 90 million seized in central Israel: three arrested

The Jerusalem District Central Unit seized a particularly large drug shipment in recent days in Moshav Ahisamakh in central Israel, with an estimated market value of NIS 90 million. Police described the incident as one of the largest drug seizures in Israel in recent years. Detectives raided a compound suspected of serving as a distribution center for a large-scale drug trafficking network, and seized a vehicle containing large quantities of drugs loaded for distribution. Among the drugs seized: 94 kg of cocaine, 39 kg of ecstasy tablets, 25 kg of MDMA, hundreds of vials of ketamine, vials of LSD, and other bulk drugs. Three suspects in their 20s, residents of central Israel, were arrested on suspicion of involvement in managing and distributing the drugs. Their detention was extended at the Magistrate's Court until September 23. Superintendent Amichai Fanta, head of investigations at the Jerusalem District Central Unit, stated that a "heavy blow was dealt to the criminals spreading poison" and that they had succeeded in cutting off one of the largest supply lines of the drug plague in Israel.
