El Niño increases the likelihood of heavy rains, flooding, and flash floods in Israel, especially in coastal cities and lowlands. Scientists recommend checking drainage systems in advance and preparing for road closures. Additionally, crop failures in food-exporting countries could disrupt supply chains and raise prices for grain and raw materials, which is significant for Israel, which imports a large portion of its food.
