Does the bereaved mother reveal Eisenkot's promise: "Look me in the eyes"

Meirav Hajaj, mother of fallen deputy Shirel Hajaj, said that bereaved families presented Gadi Eisenkot with an investigation into Ra'am's alleged ties to Hamas. According to her, Eisenkot promised he would not form a government with the Arab parties.

Meirav Hajaj, mother of fallen deputy Shirel Hajaj and a member of the 'Choosing Life' forum, said in an interview with Channel 14 that bereaved families met with Gadi Eisenkot in September and presented him with an investigation into Ra'am's alleged ties and financial support to Hamas. According to her, Eisenkot promised he would not form a government with the Arab parties, and told her: 'Meirav, look me in the eyes. I will not sit with any Arab.' Now, against the backdrop of political possibilities after the elections, Hajaj expressed concern that the commitment would not be kept. She called on Police Commissioner Danny Levy to investigate suspicions of foreign interference in the elections in the Arab sector, and expressed opposition to a unity government, which she defined as a 'paralysis government.' According to her, the forum will continue to pursue legal proceedings.
