The Palestinian Authority's Commission of Resistance to the Wall and Settlements documented 482 attacks carried out by settlers and Israeli army forces against Palestinian farmers in the West Bank since the start of the olive harvest season at the beginning of October, including 16 attacks on Sunday that involved beatings, detention, crop theft, and land bulldozing.
The Palestinian Authority's Commission of Resistance to the Wall and Settlements documented 482 attacks carried out by settlers and Israeli army forces against Palestinian farmers in the West Bank since the start of the olive harvest season at the beginning of October. The commission stated in a report that 16 of these attacks were recorded on Sunday, ranging from detaining farmers, assaulting them with beatings, stealing crops and agricultural equipment, bulldozing land, and imposing military restrictions on access to olive groves. The commission explained that the attacks were distributed across nine governorates in the West Bank and emphasized that they come in the context of "targeting the agricultural season and the livelihoods of Palestinian families," noting that what is happening reveals a "systematic shift from targeting farmers during the harvest to targeting the conditions for the continuation of agricultural activity itself" through confiscation of crops and equipment, land bulldozing, and closure of access roads.
