Ditza Or, mother of former hostage Avinatan Or, said in an interview with the program "Ba'Chatzot HaYom" on Kan News that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu bears clear responsibility for the October 7 failure. According to her, Netanyahu is responsible for fostering Hamas in Gaza, channeling funds, and turning a blind eye to what was happening. However, Or said she does not know if he should have resigned. She called for the establishment of a representative investigative commission encompassing all political parties, and expressed reservations about a commission headed by Supreme Court justices, which she described as a "biased commission." The interview took place a year after her son's release from Hamas captivity, where he was held for 738 days. Or spoke about her public struggle within the "Forum of Hope" framework, and said that the way to bring back hostages is to defeat Hamas and weaken it.
