During the protest, participants called on international, Arab, and Islamic relief organizations to increase the volume of aid provided to the displaced in the area, stressing that difficult living conditions require an urgent response that provides basic necessities for daily life. The newspaper quoted displaced person Mahmoud al-Najjar as saying that families in Mawasi Khan Younis face a shortage of basic needs, calling on relevant institutions to reach the displaced and provide what they need. Displaced person Fawzia al-Qadra also spoke about the suffering of families, pointing to the need for tents, blankets, lighting supplies, and food. Participants called for a more regular mechanism for distributing aid. The Mawasi areas are among the most prominent areas of displacement concentration in the southern Strip, where tens of thousands of families live in tents amid difficult humanitarian conditions.
