Dismantlement and annexation or political separation – the State of Israel must decide
The MIND Israel project brings together two opposing visions for the future of the state: the Kibbutz Movement calls for peace, equality, and strengthening society; the Yesha Council demands sovereignty, dismantling the Palestinian Authority, and a security decision. Ahead of the elections, the MIND Israel project brings together two opposing visions for the future of the State of Israel. The Kibbutz Movement, through its secretary-general, calls for pursuing peace, defensible borders, strengthening Israeli society, equality in burden-sharing, and developing the periphery. In contrast, the Yesha Council, through its chairman, demands dismantling the Palestinian Authority, canceling the Oslo Accords, applying Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria, and self-government for Arab cities under Israeli security responsibility. The article presents both positions as the only alternatives, while emphasizing existential threats to Israel as justification for a decision. The article is defined as a collaborative piece sponsored by MIND Israel.
