Anat Nusbaum, the director general of the private Medica Tel Aviv Hospital, has resigned. This occurred three weeks after the Ministry of Health closed the hospital, located in the Ramat HaHayal neighborhood, due to the discovery of serious violations. In a letter sent to doctors and staff, Nusbaum announced that 73-year-old Dr. Eitan Hai-Am, a former director general of the Ministry of Health, would assume her position in the coming days. The Health Ministry's inspection revealed that nurses performed surgical procedures without legal authorization, and anesthesiologists in two operating rooms were not anesthesia specialists as required by regulations.
