Did she fight the giant snake - a woman passing by became a hero

A woman in Australia rescued a koala cub from a python during a forest walk. The rescue was documented and went viral. Nell said that after freeing the cub, she returned it to its mother and moved the snake away.

A routine walk in an Australian forest turned dramatic when a woman named Nell discovered a python coiled around a koala cub, while its mother tried to free it. Nell told ABC Australia that she heard many birds, ran to the spot, and saw the frightened cub and the mother scratching the python. She decided to intervene, picked up the cub, and began unwinding the snake's coils from its body. During the incident, a man passed by and offered to help, but refused to hold the snake and preferred to hold her dog. After freeing the cub, Nell checked that it was breathing and its limbs were fine, and returned it to the tree where its mother was waiting. The cub immediately climbed up to its mother. Nell moved the python several hundred meters into the reserve to prevent another attack. When she returned an hour or two later, she saw the mother and cub hugging on the tree. The footage went viral on social media. Nell explained that she posted the video to raise awareness about the situation of koalas in Australia, which face habitat loss and disease.
