Food manufacturer Zuglovak has completed the construction of a new sausage factory in Shlomi, with an investment of approximately NIS 120 million. The factory spans about 2,000 square meters and is located hundreds of meters from the Lebanon border. Construction took about two and a half years, and the war in the north delayed the project by about a year and a half due to difficulty in bringing technicians and engineers from abroad. The factory is based on automated production lines, a technology of which there are about 40 similar lines worldwide. The investment aims to increase production capacity and expand the sausage range, focusing on premium products. Zuglovak holds a 42% share of the chilled sausage market in retail chains, according to StoreNext. Recently, the company announced a collaboration with chef Moshik Roth to develop boutique sausages. Company chairman Zion Bales stated that the investment reflects a long-term commitment to the region. The factory joins Zuglovak's expansion activities, including the acquisition of 70% of the Plant & Bean factory in Thailand.
